Moringa

The history of Moringa:

The Moringa Oleifera tree is native to North India, but has been growing all over the tropics for some time. It grows in hot and sunny places. The tree is cultivated in Asia, the West Indies and tropical Africa.

The Indians used the seeds of moringa which contained edible oil. We know that the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians appreciated Moringa for its therapeutic properties. They also used it for the protection of the skin, the purification of water as well as the manufacture of perfume.

It was from the 19th century with the export of oil from Moringa plantations from India for the manufacture of perfume and lubricants for machines that its use became more democratic.

In India and West Africa the pods and leaves were used as food.

Moringa is an incredible tree due to its virtues, it contains all the nutrients necessary for life. It is to date the most nutritious plant known, a real treasure.
